There's been no official announcement, but rumours are flying around Hollywood that Michael Shannon (top left) and Edgar Ramirez (top right) are top of the list to play the main villain in Zack Snyder's Superman: Man of Steel.
Shannon stars in the hit TV series Boardwalk Empire and Ramirez is currently filming the sequel to Clash of the Titans. There's been no word as to which villain Snyder is considering, but I think it's fair to say it won't be Lex Luthor!
Superman: Man of Steel will be released Summer 2012.
