There's been a lot of speculation over the past few months about which actress would be chosen, but the wait is over, as Amy Adams has officially landed the role of Lois Lane in Zack Snyder's Superman: Man of Steel. She'll be joining Henry Cavill (Clark Kent), Kevin Costner (Jonathan Kent) and Diane Lane (Martha Kent).
I think Adams is a fantastic choice. Apart from the fact she's a superb actress, having picked up an Oscar nomination for her role in The Fighter, she also has that feisty quality Margot Kidder successfully brought to the role back in the late 70s.
Superman: Man of Steel will be released Summer 2012.
