With the massive success of film animations in the last year including Disney's Toy Story 3, Sony's Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs and 20th Century Fox's Fantastic Mr Fox, it's time for Warner Bros to 'step up to the plate' with their new movie, Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole. The studio is no stranger to animated films, after their huge success in 2006 with Happy Feet. This time however, instead of penguins, it's owls that are taking centre stage and you can see from the character posters below, just how cute they're going to look. Well, apart from the scary one in the helmet.
Based on the successful series of books by Kathryn Lasky, this 3D film adaption is the debut animation from Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen) and stars the voice talents of Helen Mirren, Geoffrey Rush and Hugo Weaving. It opens here in the UK on 22 October 2010 and in a couple of weeks I'll be running a fantastic competition for you to win one of five Legend of the Guardians Xbox 360 games.
