So here it is, the very first picture of Andrew Garfield as Spiderman and you may have noticed there have been a few changes, including a new costume and logo (although it looks like he's been in a fight, so the logo could just been damaged).
The studio must be confident to have released a picture so early on and I must admit I am really looking forward to seeing this film. Now just give me some shots of the villain and a teaser trailer and my head may implode!

ReplyDeleteAlright, here we go again, with director's and such trying soo hard to figure out why a film such as "Batman Begins" did so well, then Failing to understand Why that film did so good...
ReplyDeleteSo now they figure, "just make the spiderman film as dark as the Batman film and we'll rake in the money!"
Sorry to disappoint, but this Spiderman film will do Terrible, and will , as they say, Bomb at the cinema's.
Why? Because there is no originality, if they are trying to make it similar to a film which did well.
First off, restarting the story back to the begining is tiresome. It disregards all that happened in the last three spiderman films, and says to Spiderman fans which loved the Toby-spiderman films, that their opinions are thrown in the trash.
Think....dear director's and writer's....Who made the last three Spiderman films make so much money?...... The Fans!!!!
The Films were also more brighter than most of the films out now-a-days. Instead of everybody wearing black, and having everything dark (as is the case with practically everything you see on screen now),
the three Spiderman films had COLOUR!!!!
The Spiderman outfit for Toby was a perfect example of this, bright red, bright blue, defined lines representing a web look in his costume, made the character the eye of what ever storm was brewing in the film.
Even the costume of the green goblin was bright green in the first film. Also the background daylight scenes, the different lighting , and even the night scenes allowed for a good light feel to the screen and film.
Of course having Mary Jane kidnapped in each film, was extremely tireing and old, the story's for each film were original and Marvel like.
That , in fact is the only thing I would have changed in the films , is to have somthing different happen rather than having her kidnapped each time .
Yet the three Spiderman films with Toby, as I said, as unreal as some director's may consider, was truely defined by the bright lighting and colours of those films. Creating the definition that must be seen in order to understand what is happening in each scene of the stories.
Most films are boring because everythiing is the same, expected dark look.
Wake up film folk! Originality sells, stupidity and copying doesn't!
The new spiderman is skinny as a stick! Even having Toby wake up with muscles was more close to a Spiderman story than the new Spidey!
Spiderman is suppose to be strong! Where the hell is the super-spidey strength if all he is , is skin-an-bone!?!?
Rather than go on and on about how bad the new Spiderman looks, I will end this comment now.
Not to mention as well, how pathetically predictable the story sounds. (predictable in the sense of copying other film ideas, to make money.)
Film makers need to stop being stubbornly cheap, and pay people such as Toby, the money he wanted to play Spiderman , or fix which ever problem there is , in order to have the original actor/s.
The people , the writers, the directors, and the fans, are all which help create a good story , (which is what any good film maker knows.)
I would gladly take on a film project, of this kind, such as Spiderman , if offered, just to keep the Good story of Spiderman going.
Either way, this new Spiderman film will do terrible in the cinema's. And will end the career of Spiderman for some time.
