Harry Potter has returned and broken all sorts of UK box office records. The Deathly Hallows has taken a staggering £18.3m in just three days! That's more than fives times the amount taken by the rest of the top ten films this week, put together. It makes it the biggest weekend opening of all time in the UK, easily beating Quantum of Solace, which made £15.3m back in 2008.
Due Date continued to perform well and has made a fair chunk of money over the weekend, especially considering everyone on the planet was watching Potter. A surprise entry into the top ten is Bollywood movie Guzaarish, which having only opening in 52 cinemas (Harry Potter was in 529) still made enough money to put it into eighth place on the chart.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 - The best movie of the year. I've been streaming this on my internet tv software. I do love the cinematic perfection that this film had.
ReplyDeleteHey Sean - I reckon Part 2 will be better though. What do you think?
ReplyDeleteFor sure it is, and I can't wait for it.
