Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy easily hangs on to the number one spot this week, adding another £2m to it's total. It just goes to show, even with a slow burner of a film like this, that fantastic reviews and positive word of mouth will drive audiences into the cinema. It's no surprise that there are already rumours about this becoming a franchise, so don't be surprised if we see Gary Oldman return as George Smiley.
In contrast, not a great weekend for Crazy, Stupid, Love or Tom Hardy's latest film, Warrior. Although they opened in second and third place respectively, they could only manage to make around £800K, so I don't expect them to be hanging around the UK top ten for very long.
